We brought Genesee's Bumblebee costume out for Halloween this year. Here's some pictures that I took when I had a chance.
I kept the Costumesat Moct overnight for the owner's Birthday. Thanks to Emily, Andrew & Matt for wearing them!
I've opened a MySpace account for CardboardCostumes. It can be found at www.MySpace.com/Cardboard_Costumes
There's not much there yet, but I'll fix that at soon.
Here are the pictures from the Childhood Revisited Art Show at The Moct in Milwaukee. How can you not love Cobra Commander and Megatron in the same room? Thanks to Chad for putting this on! And Thanks to Dave and Emily for wearing the costumes!
09/25/07 I had to construct a Panini Costume for my wife's workplace, and had only 5 days to do it. I didn't have enough time to put the foam vegatables in the open bread, nor able to paint it, but it turned out alright. There's strips on the front and back to simulate grill marks (the paint should emphasize that) and there's a place on the back for advertisment. I added a pocket under the right arm, and there's a flap on the front so the wearer can bend thier knees. I'll put up pictures of the finished product when I get them.

09/24/07 I started another project. Kind of. I stopped after a couple weekends, but will start up again soon. The third picture is the start of a Lex Luthor Battle Suit I was thinking of making. I got bored with it after a day, but I got a couple ideas from it. So the next weekend I started on Soundwave. I already have Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw constructed, plus a helmet. So here are the picures of the hips and thighs.
I also created a Forum so people can ask me questions and talk to each other about constucting cardboard costumes. Check it out at CardboardCostumes.FreeForums.org and let me know what you think!
And I finally fixed that hit counter that kept resetting on me. I hope.
I found this on YouTube the other day. A guy named gangibson had posted this from when we were down at. WizardWorld Chicago 2006. You can see Gen moving around in the Bumblebee Costume! A couple Halloweens ago, after 3 nights of going out, my Hard Drive in my laptop crashed and I lost all the pictures I had taken that weekend. A year and a half later, I was cleaning out my desk and I found the drive again. I had already tried everything I could think of, even putting it in the freezer and it still kept going klakety-klack. So I banged it on my desk a couple times, and it worked. I got a lot of great pictures the two nights we went out, so now I'm happy to share it with all of you. The first picture is the only time that all three costumes have been worn at the same time
